SPOKANE WA – Two suspects fleeing from the scene of a crime fired off rounds into a dog during a home invasion late Tuesday in Spokane Washington.
Authorities told reporters that two suspects were on the run after the robbery around 10 p.m. on the 800 block of West Euclid, when the victim’s dog charged out the door after them.
Spokane Police Department detectives said two masked men broke into a home with guns and robbed the residents inside. They also said a small child was in the home at the time but thankfully no one was hurt. However, while the suspects ran away from the home, the victim’s heroic dog bolted after them. That is when the suspects fired off three rounds into the canine ‘Guardian,’ according to police.
Authorities said the suspects fled the scene in an older white van with no windows and had a faded Spokane Shock sticker on the back. Police located the white van and are following up on suspect leads.
