Program Overview For

Puppy Training Classes

Puppy training classes are designed to give puppies under 18 weeks a impactful training environment that is safe for socialization.  One of the hardest things to do with puppies is get them around other safe dogs their age so they can learn proper dog to dog behaviors.  From zero to six months is a very important time for training for puppies that will go with them for the rest of their lives.

Puppy Class Overview

Kindergarten Class Level One
About This Course:

This course is designed to combine puppy play time with training behaviors that matter going forward with the new owners.  The last thing puppy owners need is some formal class that does not work on socialization, puppy behavior problems and making training a fun game.  For puppy classes we have a fun and exciting curriculum that is easy to learn and practice between class dates. It’s important to work on teaching new behaviors vs correcting puppies for bad ones because the lasting impact of over correcting a young puppy can be harmful.  Lets stay focused on the great things these little pups can do and give them the training they need to be great pets in the future.

Why Take Our Puppy Class?

Learning basic training cues and concepts can be fun in group environments for both you and your puppy. We will cover everyday training cues that will help you teach your puppy manners while making your life much easier.  We often have repeat students in our puppy classes just because it was fun for them and the puppy and they want to do it again.  Puppies can be really frustrating if you don’t plan and prepare ahead of time with a proper training plan.

What Is Our Puppy Training

PHILOSOPHY

This is the most important part and the core of any dog trainer. Regardless of experience or marketing and how great they sound, its important to understand how puppy training should be done.  Mine is very simple, we never hurt, harm or intimidate puppies to get behavior.  We don’t use dominance for forced based training methods and I hope you understand how important this is to your puppy.  These can damage your puppy for life and should not be used.

Our puppy training philosophy is based on the behavioral science concepts of positive reinforcement. Training your pet using these concepts will not only help them learn new behaviors more quickly, it will also strengthen the bond you share.

Signing up is really simple. All you have to do is click on this link … Click Here… and you will be directed to the enrollment page. On this page you will see dates and times for each upcoming class.

Hmmm… Yes of course there is 🙂  But the good news the fee is very low compared to other training companies and a large portion of our class fee goes back to the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center to help more animals find homes. The cost of not training your puppy is far greater than cost of training.

We take all major credit cards when paying online registration.  If you have to use cash or check please pay upfront at the desk located at the front of MSRPAC Center.  Sorry at this time we are not accepting hugs or smiles as form of payment although they are still very welcome.

No. Most of the puppies in this class are too young to be spayed or neutered, but if you adopted them from MSRPAC than that probably has been taken care of. I personally tho will not train a dog that someone wants to backyard breed because they are cute so take that in mind as well.

No. But make sure you dog falls under the prerequisites of the training class mentioned above.
