Pet Food Recall Expands

 


A recall of dry dog food products manufactured by Diamond Pet Foods has expanded to more brands. Recently Diamond Pet Foods issued a nationwide recall of batches of dog food due to Salmonella. 14 people have reported to become sick with salmonella, due to handling of the food. No Dogs have reported sick. Check your bag of food; it is better to be safe then sorry when it comes to the health of you and your pet! Here is a list of the dog foods on the recall list, check it out and pass it along.

These recalled batches of dog food are between dates December 2011 and April 7th 2012. Only dry food is included in the recall, not canned or treats.(*Recently added batches of food)


What to do next?
Salmonella is very serious, if you have identified any of the recalled brands of food immediately discard the remaining food and don’t handle it. If you are not sure if you have an infected bag of dog food it’s better to be safe than sorry and just get a new bag. Your Health and the health of you dog are at risk.
